Broadway All the Way is a visionary transportation project to reimagine the Broadway and Bardstown Road corridors in Louisville, KY, with a specific focus on prioritizing safety, mobility, accessibility and equity for all users – pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders.
Thousands of users travel the corridor each day, which is home to hundreds of businesses and touches more than 11 neighborhoods that extends Bardstown Road to the Bashford Manor Shopping Center, many of which face racial inequities, climate change impacts and systemic economic challenges.
Broadway also provides critical transit access for the Transit Authority of River City (TARC), with three routes that account for 40 percent of overall ridership. The project includes a 10-mile corridor with four Master Plan segments:
This project received a federal grant to finish planning and to develop a shovel-ready design. Public input will play a significant role in informing the final design and determining how the project can best serve the needs of the community.
